Agreement between Evergreen and KTK Tugs

The two new tugboats, the ‘KTK Tribon’ and the ‘KTK Barakuda’ from Kompania di Tou Kòrsou (KTK) were Christened in Colon, Panama at the end of July 2010. KTK had recently opened an establishment in Panama and hopes to secure a permanent market share in the towage industry with the two tugboats.

For centuries the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao, situated in the Southern Caribbean, has prided itself on being one of the most prominent maritime trading hubs in the region. And KTK Tugs has been an integral part of this strategic port’s development.

Marking a new ERA

KTK TUGS introduces its new logo, after 25 years of performance excellence. This anniversary on October 1st 2010, provides a perfect opportunity to reaffirm the visionary evolution undergone and to prepare for an equally strong future with a brand new look .

The KTK acronym is strongly emphasized as this will be branded worldwide in all our correspondence; an abbreviation of “Kompania di Tou Kòrsou”, the official company name in our local language Papiamento. This is to reaffirm our Curaçao origin and main point of operations. KTK TUGS will be branded as our new identity, replacing the formerly used “Curaçao Towage Company”.
